quick question.....the FUCK are yall trying to compare Uncharted and Gears for? two different games IMO.

as far as consoles...healthy debates are always welcomed in my book.

you want a more variety of games with great online...360.

(a lil) better graphics, blu-ray and the Sony-exclusive titles...get the PS3.

right now....I prefer a variety of games and great online experience...so I'm trying to get my hands on a 360 right now.

PC gaming.....console gaming....two different niches, audiences and industries IMO.

add those games....and the "stretch" of a list for 360 goes up.

I agree that the line of variety between the 360 and PS3 is blurring more...PS3 has been stepping it up recently....but my question...is it too late? PS3 has a slooooooooow start while 360 came out with it's punches and has maintained it's momentum throughout.

PS3 is STILL too damn expensive for the average gaming consumer...couldn't give two shits about Blu-Ray really...and all those games that were mentioned that are going to come out in the future for the PS3...lmao at automatically calling them great when they haven't came out yet...360, PS3, Wii...don't matter, I don't deem games GREAT until they release...even if I am heavily anticipating a game myself (like The Last Guardian....good GOD, I want to play that so bad).

Well (imo) any so called "gamer" that wants to play game a game thats on 360 and PC and they have a PC and ps3...can and probably will get it on PC. Lol i mean 360 isn't bad. It has its golden nuggets.

But really though...should you really include games that arent on PC? If im sittin here playin GoW1 on my laptop...am I really gonna turn around and say "it's xbox 360 exclusive"...

As for whether on not its too late...lol i don't think it is. The life cycle of these consoles are gonna be longer than the last. Although i believe microsoft will develop a new system before everyone else. Even nintendo.

Well most people don't have a high end gaming computer.

I sure as hell don't and won't for a long time.

And gears of War 2's not coming to PC.

When Gears and Halo 3 have a review in a magazine it says exclusive.

Computers can play ANYTHING.

I can play anything from Donkey Kong Arcade to Street Fighter 3 for Dreamcast.

Also it was about a year before gears released on PC. it was STILL an exclusive when it released.

Just like PS2's Budokai Series, Okami, Gamecube's Sonic Mega Collection, Resident Evil 4etc.

They were ALL exclusives, the Cube ones all said "Only on gamecube"

But they ALL got rereleased eventually.

Console wars technically mean nothin...

All cosole wars really refer to is what ppl prefer. Does not determine which is better. Better for them..maybe, maybe not

But how many ppl in this world know whats best for them..lol

Well gears and most of 360's best games are exclusives/time exclusives.

And every one of the time exclusives will never be on PS3 or Wii.

Which is the competition. PC isn't competition.

But you still DONT need a ps3, wii, or 360 to play them.

welll....for me....PC gaming and console gaming are different...in the sense that PC has to go up against MAC...and 360 goes up against PS3 and Wii. the structure, interface and overall experience of PC gaming differs than console gaming (for the most part).

so for me....a console that gets a good PC game exclusively for them is a great pick-up for their audience.

he pretty much echoes what is going on right now with the games....the line of variety is steadily blurring...PS3 is stepping it up...I agree.

but something that 360 does...and to be honest, does amount to a lot...the user-home experience. Applications like Netflix, Facebook and XBOX Live...that's stuff I know I WILL use once I get my hands on a 360....as will countless others.

for sure the Wii will thrive....and 360 will as long as they maintain their excellent online and core user-home home experience intact....PS3 to me, has to play catch up...it looks like they will though, but gotta wait and see with all their games coming out...will the majority of them be GOOD or just other versions of Prey...lol.

oh....two more things that will accelerate the success of PS3......

BETTER ONLINE...lagging as SF HD Remix lag....ugh.

I mean really...does it matter to the consumer what systems are competing if a system they already have has the game(s) they want?

Only thing i don't have is a dual core processor. I have a 2.2 GHz AMD athlon. ALL OTHER recommended requirements i have equal to or greater.

PC made in the past 2-3 years (wit AMD processors) can run those games pretty well. They may or may not need a RAM upgrade..but you get the point.

PC's are more common in a house than 360's anyway. Use that potential 360 money for a PC upgrade then you're ready for PC/xbox360 crossplatform games for the next 3-4 years. Not to mention PC exclusive games lol. Your library just expands even more wit PC/ps3 combo. WHICH IS THE WHOLE POINT HERE.

It's the same thing I tell to 360 owners that diss the Wii.

I have a Wii so I can play, mario, Zelda, Metroid, Smash, etc.

I wanted a 360 primarily for Halo and NBA 2K.

Like I told you before, I've played 2K on PS3, and not only is it laggier, but the I like the 360 controller WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better for sports games.

And yes I like 360's exclusives. Bioshock was a time exclusive, fantastic game.

360 has Blue Dragon and a bunch of other exclusive RPG's that will NOT be on PC.

ALl pS3 has coming is that new FF, and I read in Game Informer that that might be coming to 360 as well.

Smash Bros. and Halo, like I said before are my two favorite multiplayer games.

And once again those will NEVER be on another console.

So for the rest of my life I will always own the console that has Zelda, Smash Bros., and Halo.

Smash Bros. being my favorite multiplayer and fighting game ever.

You'll never see Smash bros. Mayhem, Halo: Reach, or the new Zelda on your PC.

Most of this board owns Gears 2, and after a few months of analyzing, gears 2 is the far better game, and that's already been announced to NOT come to PC.

Yes PC gaming is great but I'm not content with waiting a year or 2 just to get a rerelease of a game that's been on a console for years.

At the EARLIEST(if it even happens), you won't be playing Halo 3 till like 2011.

Prolly will pay about $50 for it as well. And even then you'd be freakin 4 years late. With a fraction of the online community at that.

And by that time, we'll all be playing Halo Reach.

But anyway, it's all about the games you like.

3 of my favorite series ever are Halo, Zelda, and Smash.

And just like last generation, I have the console to match the exclusives I like.

Yes..it is about the games you like...and i'm not "all over" the PC.

Lagginess RARELY has to do with the capabilities of either system or the network they're using. It's determined by the effectiveness of the programmer.

You can only play mario/zelda/metroid for so long...until it comes to the point where you know every nook and cranny of every secret area in every game. Personally...the game gets boring to me before that point ever comes. All thats left after that is nostlagia. :\

Ps3 does not have just FF13 versus comin out lol. It has Disgaea 3, Cross Edge, Valkaryia Chronicles...(2 of which contain 100+ hours of gameplay) not to mention the time exclusives that were on the 360. Tales of vesperia and eternal sonata. Both of which GOT MORE content. If you ask me..then that's worth it lol.

Nah, I've never liked the Sony controller that much. Always thought the Cube and Xbox controllers were better.

Now fighting games the PS3 controller is ideal, especially with games like Street fighter IV.

Now shooters, adventure games? Sports? Hell no. Trigger buttons are lame and the joystick is in the wrong place.

Also another big thing is the 360 is way cheaper than a PS3.

I like it's controller better.
I like it's exclusives better.
It's online is better.
It's coming features last.fm/and facebook, like Nelson said, I KNOW I'll be using ALL the time. That'd actually be a system seller if they had it at launch. last.fm is the best music site/application ever.
And you can save music to your harddrive and play them in any game.

Those are what gives it the edge for me and most of the world.

But if you have a good PC and a few of 360's best games there, then PS3 might appeal more to you.

I'm not getting into PC vs. Mac....I'm just saying that seeing PC titles on only one console is a good pick-up for their intended audience...I don't have a PC to run Left 4 Dead...but my 360 does!

PS3 has made leaps and bounds in the past year...because at this time last year, I wouldn't be caught dead trying to buy one....but now with the rumored PS3 slim (with hopefully a price cut), variety of games steadily improving and ZOMG THE LAST GUARDIAN (lol)...my tune is slowly changing.
