Getting Things Done

OH

so yeh...I just figured out a way to get apps for comics on my phone...

pretty cool

LOL, well I decided to use Wordpress.

And I've seen sites that have used it but they don't look "bloggy"

So I'll spend today reading up on CSS.

Also...just a thought...look into RSS feeds...like we can have RSS feeds about new Comic news, Video Game news and all the stuff about stuff that nerds do....

The RSS Feed will be the site, unless you plan on RSS'ing other sites content.

yeh, basically like comic news...such as releases, new series, all that jazz.

and stuff on movies, games and all that...

official sites and stuff...

well....now that I'm settled in and back from my vacation....I was always used to the assumption that wordpress looked like a blog....but I've liked wordpress so it'll do.


I'd like to help....but don't know what help I'd be good in....I have no exp in web design....I really don't upload anything other than music...I don't have access to manga and anime like that.....

maybe a mod?

for a vid game section...or "other" section....ya know, the sports, music, figuring out how to Nelson a 360, etc., etc.-type threads....haha, jk, jk.


but yeah.....get to work! lol...would like to see this place poppin soon

It'll be up and running before you know it. We've got a pretty good core. I'm pleased about that. Our Fearless Leader Jason is manning the helm.

or if that's not an option(probably not), steal your cousins.

Or borrow your best friends(No John Rodgers), and then trick him by paying him like $50 every 2 weeks.

Then after 3 months you can keep it. lol

Yea I've seen sites that have used it, but didn't look like a blog.

And one of those car company sites use it and removed the blog completely somehow.


Plus the site will be simple, so it'll do for now.

If I'm feeling ballsy in the future we can revamp it and use one of the more typical ones.

And yea we gotta nice core.

Frank is a photoshopping beast so he'll help me with most things design related.

A miscellaneous section is a must.

Ari shizzing on people in the music section, Nelson advising people in College, me crying over Ben Gordon in the sports section hahaha.

I also will copy/paste any mangas from other sites I've already read. The reason I was staying away from it, was in order to do that, I'd indirectly be reading every manga I upped, spoiling any series I was already reading/watching.

Plus John and Me know some people, basically "young underground comic writers"

When they get their shiz together we can put em on on here.

I'm learning bout FTP, and after I finish reading this Fullmetal and Naruto manga, I'll continue learning bout CSS.

Ari have you installed Simple Machines before?

Cuz I'm sure I gotta use CSS to make that look the way i want it to as well.

But I gotta wait till I start uploading to the FTP before I can even use the simple machine forums.

Simple Machines is easy to install via the GoDaddy Application manager (Aka our Host) and CSS is limitless, you can take a template and do what you like with the design. Not to mention SMF is free, and the best VBulletin alternative around.

I see 16Bit taking about 2-3 more weeks to be fully operational. We're gonna please them nerds.

Yep, 2-3 weeks is a good time frame.

That'll be more than enough time for me to get CSS down in an at the least intermediate/solid level.

Well I won't be able to do anything til I get back and get my wireless straight and my laptop. So in about a week or 2 for me as well....
